race?
[edit]is Brashear black?
...no. There are no black hockey players.
yes there are: Georges Laraque, Anson Carter to name a few. Also there are several biracial players such as: Jerome Iginla, Grant Fuhr
Pretty messed to throw that joke in there when the guy's life story includes being left behind with a madly abusive father because his mom's new husband was racist. PK Subban — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.25.145.229 (talk) 18:21, 26 April 2017 (UTC)
Grant Fuhr retired after the 1999–2000 season. Currently there are also NHL players who are Asian (Paul Kariya, Richard Park),Inuit (Jordan Tootoo) and other First Canadians (Jonathan Cheechoo, who is Cree).Toyokuni3 (talk) 18:06, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
--and incidentally, the answer to the original question is also wrong in that, yes, Donald Brashear IS black.Toyokuni3 (talk) 18:09, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
No, its still wrong, he's mulatto.--Something12356789101 (talk) 02:39, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
Did you just seriously say "mulatto"? Laodah 20:50, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
most penalized?
[edit]the article claims that brashear was the most penalized player in the Ottawa-Philly brawl... however, this only seems to be true if you don't count 10 minute misconduct penalties. If you do it was Spezza of all people. So, do 10 minute misconducts not count toward penalty totals?? Peregrine981 (talk) 22:36, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- I have come across a couple of references that state he was the most penalized player, hear is one of them I can't find the other right now, but as you indicated Spezza totaled 35 one more than Brashear so I have changed the wording to reflect that.--Mo Rock...Monstrous (talk) 18:10, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
