Zero0000, thank you very much for finding those links. How did you do it? I would be interested to know. I have added some detail regarding the funding based upon the text at the the websites that you found. It seems that Nathan Cummings funded a joint program that the ECF was involved in rather than the ECF.
Nature Knows No Boundaries, a cooperative venture on the environment between Palestinian and Israeli students, Economic Cooperation Foundation, Peace Continuity Fund, New York, NY, $11,000 -- this was in 1996
I couldn't find where in [1] it notes funding for the ECF. I did find a spot where it noted that the ECF came up with a list of $36 million in project to be funded but not the funding itself. Could you provide a page reference for me. At my age, I could have just missed it....though I dont understand why Adobe's search facility missed it. But please look at the page, perhaps I did find the reference you noticed.
