Wrong information about language development

Spurious info about current use removed

I have removed the text inserted by Egil in this edit about the use of the term Viken having been revitalized in recent time. I don't believe this is the case (I live in Oslo). Víkin

Actually, the old norse name is Víkin. Viken is the modern bokmål and Swedish form of the area. --Oddeivind (talk) 10:40, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Viken?

I feel that the name is unrepresentative of the district, as the Norwegian word vik is a feminine noun, and is in definite form vika. The term Viken was made up by the historian Peter Andreas Munch, and we should change the name of the article.–– ♫ Ellie ♫ 07:49, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
