This article on the False Decretals is somewhat outdated. The bibliography stops at the beginning of the 20th century. The Le Mans hypothesis is no longer tenable since Klaus Zechiel-Eckes has identified a number of manuscripts from the library of Corbie monastery which were undoubtedly used by the forgers. For a more or less up-to-date article on the subject see wikipedia s.v. Pseudo-Isidore.

This article appears to be identical in its subject with the article on Pseudo-Isidorian forgeries and the article on Pseudo-Isidore while only the sources appear to be different. Why not merge all three articles into one? -tlatosmd, June 21st 2005, 9:20pm CET
