Talk:Bishop Luffa School
This article is rated Start-class on Wikipedia's content assessment scale. It is of interest to the following WikiProjects: | |||||||||||

Teaching Aids
[edit]Is it really necessary to mention the school uses interactive whiteboards? I believe the majority of schools (or at least, a considerable amount of them) have them now. NinjaPenguin89 (talk) 19:15, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Academic Performance
[edit]Can the writer of the following statement please define "best results" and clarify the years for which it is appropriate: "It gets the best state school GCSE results in West Sussex LEA". If this continues to be true you need only return to change the appropriate time period, but as is this sentence cannot remain. Otherwise I'll delete it. --headlessness 08:55, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Assess
[edit]Great start on your school article. Further advice is available at the schools project.
- Add some topics (like history?) - alumni?
- Keep adding references. tick
- Add pictures ???
- Ask for an assessment at the schools project.
- Good luck and welcome Victuallers 20:12, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- Added an infobox. Perhaps the students of the school could take some pictures? I know some of them visit this page. --Ori.livneh 14:22, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
I removed some obvious nonsense (at least I hope it was nonsense). The article still needs a tidy up. Much of the writing is WP:POV and the content unverifiable ("The biggest event...", "...most pupils enjoy the school..."). Please provide reliable accessible references for everything. --RobertG ♬ talk 14:50, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Overhaul
[edit]I expanded and re-wrote large chunks of the article. I have removed the following texts, pending elaboration and citation:
Taunts' recent decision to remove study leave for year 11 has made some students unhappy, others believe it will enable the teachers to monitor revision and give more direction to it.
Some also criticise Luffa for its bizarre reward policy. Some say that the students who misbehave seem to grab all the attention of the SMT as do the students who excel. Those who toe the line simply fall away into obscurity and are never rewarded.
It also achieves many succeses at the local and county Young enterprise competitions, under the leadership of Mr Blamire.
--Ori.livneh 21:29, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
The original citation ([1]) is wrong in stating that the school opened in 1965, I have added a temporary correction whilst I re-work this section. Please don't delete - for now anyway.

- Above now done, previous citation moved to a external links URL

Multi purpose games area
[edit]I have added an article about the Multi purpose games area. please do not delete it. However please feel free to improve it. Dean Randall
Proposed building developments
[edit]I have added an article about the schools proposed development and about the school quiet area, please do not delete these relevant articles. Dean Randall
- The information is not notable though. Schools add onto themselves all of the time, and the Bishop Luffa school's new construction and quiet area are not really that important, unless you go to the school. Ryulong 20:14, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
understood, i have tried to rewrite the article showing how it will cause destruction to the school.
- Your edits, have done more harm than help to the article. The various apostrophes are part of WP formatting and the backslashes (these: \) are disrupting the article. Ryulong 21:02, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
