The result of the debate was - kept
Was listed for VfD six months ago -- see Talk:List of Federalist Papers. It survived because the only vote (mine) was to wait-and-see. The only two edits in six months were to add categories. This Table of Contents is less useful to our readers than the first external link at Federalist Papers. We already link to a more informative (external) page and it looks like no one is going to add anything to this page. Not a list, but a table of contents. SWAdair | Talk 04:24, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. Valid and useful information. We should never delete an article because its contents can be found on another website. This table is also too long to merge into Federalist Papers. I've intended for awhile to write some articles on at least the most notable individual Federalist Papers, and there is quite a bit that can be said on all of them. Sooner or later, someone is going to take up the task, and this list is certainly not harming anything in its current state. Postdlf 04:30, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep This is exactly the kind of hard information one would like in an encyclopedia. It would be better as a list of article links, of course... - Amgine 05:58, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Keep:It's kind of attendant on the Federalist Papers and might well be merged and redirected there, depending on the size of the Federalist Papers article. I worry that we lose the information as a separate article. Geogre 14:43, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)- Changing vote to delete: There is already a TOC on -source, and it's better. This is therefore stranded and inferior. Geogre 05:04, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- See wikisource:The Federalist Papers. The list is all there already, but with the actual sources as well. So, this list is useful only to the extent that someone writes articles about the individual papers. But, since Postdlf intends to do so, I suppose we should keep this. - Another strong keep . This is good stuff. --[[User:Tony Sidaway|Tony Sidaway|Talk]] 01:45, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Take your strong keep and raise you an extreme keep. —[[User:Radman1|RaD Man (talk)]] 05:13, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Based on the current content, redirect to wikisource:The Federalist Papers which already has the more complete list. If/when Postdlf writes the articles about each Federalist Paper, the redirect can be easily reversed. Rossami (talk) 01:32, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Redirect to wikisource as per Rossami et al. - [[User:KeithTyler|Keith D. Tyler [flame]]] 19:24, Dec 16, 2004 (UTC)
- Delete, redir to wikisource, or merge into Federalist Papers, which isn't very big. Niteowlneils 03:43, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Keep. I strongly oppose deletion. This sort of information is very useful in an Encyclopedia. It *could* be merged into Federalist Papers, but in any event, each one of them should be a link to the appropriate WikiSource article. --Dante Alighieri | Talk 19:04, Dec 17, 2004 (UTC)
