[edit]Hi, Thanks for your edit of Shri_Madhvacharya. But can you please address the concerns raised at Talk:Shri_Madhvacharya. pamri 14:34, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for your edit. I have removed the redirect that happens at Madhavacharya, so you can add the removed information there if you want. If you don't have much information, you can add a brief article & insert {{india-bio-stub}}. To edit redirecting pages, just append &action=edit to the page's URL. pamri 11:33, 2 Feb 2005 (UTC)

HI,
About 2 weeks back I had asked for your help on Perinthalmanna article.. So can u get a fact check done on its history part? Iam not quite sure about it.
Cheers ! Jisha C J 08:19, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
hi, Thanx for the speedy reply. Its the same case with me I have never visited Kannur but was able to find ample resources on the web about Kannur. Any modification on the Perinthalmanna article to make it better is welcome Cheers!! Jisha C J 08:39, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Hi,
I did take a look at the discussion page. As you may have read there, Iam not a native of that place and neither have I visited Perinthalmanna. So what I did was to wikify the article and make it more readble. But I would try to make it better. Any help would be welcome. Jisha C J 06:12, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Thank you!

Kannur Saliyas
[edit]Hi Manoj, Do you have any information about Saliya weavers of Kannur? I'm also searching for the material about right-hand(Balanga) and left-hand(Edaanga) groups and various Chirakkal kings. The Kasaragod Saliyas belong to left-hand(Edaanga) group. There are couple of folklores about this community that I want to investigate. I was just wondering whether you have any information or you know somebody who is authority on these people. Manjunatha (6 Sept 2005)
Thanks
[edit]Hi, thanks for correcting the mistake on Rahul Sankrityayan. And, nice to see your user page – the beach is Kovalam, an I right? --Bhadani 14:33, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi, I just noticed that you added the dates back to the utsavam sentence. Are you sure that it starts on March 6 th every year? I suppose temple festivals are decided upon after taking into account various things and the malayalam calender and so on. I had deleted the dates after asking the questions about the dates on the talk page of the article.

Sanskritization
[edit]This word is seen by a section of scholars as a ploy and they claim that it is only used by revisionist historians who seek to lynch the minority castes who consider themselves forward, for discrimination assumed to have been committed by their ancestors.
Don't you think the above sentence is bit cryptic? Could you please rephrase it? Thanks.

Apology
[edit]The deletion from the talk page of User_Talk:Alniko was accidental. Very Sorry for that. I was just fed up with the reverts that the user Alniko was making in some pages. And I was pasting the warning messages in his talk page, and the deletion of your message was not at all intentional. Hope you will take this in good spirit.

License tagging for Image:Bpremanand2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Bpremanand2.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:06, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello, MANOJTV. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Gouldmismeasure.jpg) was found at the following location: User:MANOJTV. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 06:05, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi. When you uploaded Image:Bpremanand2.jpg, you did not provide a copyright tag. In order for this image to be used at Wikipedia, you need to release it under a "free" license, such as the GFDL. (All Wikipedia articles are licensed under the GFDL.) If you would like to release the image under the GFDL, please replace the "untagged" message with {{GFDL-self}}. If you would like to release it into the public domain, please use {{PD-self}}. You can also see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#For image creators for some other choices. If you do not license the image, it will be deleted shortly. --BigDT 13:25, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Frontline1.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Frontline1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 10:40, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use disputed for Image:Image:Gouldmismeasure.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Image:Gouldmismeasure.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:05, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Kangaroo word
[edit]Kangaroo word, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Kangaroo word satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kangaroo word and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Kangaroo word during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Fair use images in userspace
[edit]I was checking usage of fair use images, and I noticed that you had two fair use images displayed on your userpage. Technically, we aren't supposed to do that (per WP:UP#NOT), even in understandable circumstances like these, so I edited your userpage to remove them from display. I tried to keep the general thrust of things the same as it was by splitting them off into direct links in an attached bulleted list, so that you still get "credit" for your good work. Please feel free to change that as you see fit, and apologies if I've given offense. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 16:03, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Redirect of Biopsy and Nature Cure
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Biopsy and Nature Cure, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Biopsy and Nature Cure is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Biopsy and Nature Cure, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Speedy deletion of The Jonestown Carnage
[edit]A tag has been placed on The Jonestown Carnage requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fair use rationale for Image:Jones carnage.jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Jones carnage.jpeg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Proposed deletion of Yukthivicharam
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Yukthivicharam, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- unreferenced WP:N, tagged since 9/2007.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit]Thank you for uploading File:Sahodaran.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
