Obverse
[edit]Are the reverse's for 1997 & 1998 correct? I remember seeing a 1998 with the 97 reverse — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.9.22.214 (talk) 23:30, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

[edit]How can the coin images be actual size? If I put my girlfriend's laptop into dual-screen mode there is no way that the onboard 14" 1600x1200 display will show the coin the same as say, my father's 800x600 52" projection tv's vga. "Actual size" can't be claimed unless the image displays the same size on all displays....
Or am I missing something here?

Article needs to be updated
[edit]There are no images of the reverse side of the American Platinum Eagle for the years 2006 or 2007. Furthermore, there are no mintage figures for the years 2005, 2006, or 2007.

It would be good to have an exact reference to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commissions finding that the platinum eagle can be held in an Individual Retirement Account. I looked at the SEC website and can't find any such information, but this is widely stated on the internet with no references ever provided. 72.81.136.110 (talk) 00:09, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
"Income" citation
[edit]Article currently requests citation for the statement that "They are still by all means legal tender, however legal debate persists with respect to its value in terms of "income"". I assume this statement is meant to refer to the Robert Kahre payroll cases, which involved payment in gold and silver (not, so far as I can tell, platinum) coins with income reported at face (rather than market) value? No 2009 coin
[edit]I just noticed, the pictures for the coins only go up to 2008 currently. Does anyone have the current image? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.94.59.121 (talk) 01:50, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
