Educational use only pictures
[edit](re your comment on Wikipedia talk:Possibly unfree images)
Pictures with usage restrictions such as "Non-commercial" or "Educational use only" are not allowed on wikipedia. Please do not upload such pictures. These images will be deleted. You can speed the deletion progress by editing the image page and adding a code {{db|uploaded in error, educational use only}}

Image tagging for Image:Ex-5.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ex-5.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Unspecified source for Image:Yamaha135a2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Yamaha135a2.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 18:32, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Logo-MDS.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Logo-MDS.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Please revert my page back.
[edit]Hello.
I spent many hours getting those photos and uploading them to the positions they were in. Please do not tamper with the page as you did. I did not remove anything from your Honda SuperCub site, in fact, I used your photo and sited you and kept all your links.
Please revert the page i created Honda Super Cub, back to the way it was yesterday.
Thank you.

Undone
[edit]I have reverted your photo changes back to the way I uploaded them. Please, if you wish to tamper with my photos, feel free to put them on the page you created Honda Supercub and change them as much as you like there.
I appreciate it. Thank you. Sincerely, humbleradio.
By the way, I am connected with Honda Japan. The specs I stated for the Super Cub engine are exactly accurate. Please do not quote sites such as cyclechaos and other third party sources as an authority over Honda's information. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Humbleradio (talk • contribs) 16:42, 11 May 2007 (UTC).
Thanks for your feedback. By the way, I think it would be nicer and tidier if I compile all the photos of the Honda Super Cub to a photo gallery. Anyway, if you disagree, please let me know so that we can discuss about that. Anyway, thanks for those worderful photos.
Unspecified source for Image:Satria-neo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Satria-neo.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. [edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Gempak.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:MTD.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:MTD.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:54, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Segamat01.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Segamat01.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Jusjih 03:50, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Cubprix.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Cubprix.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. [edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Pengundi hantu.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

File permission problem with File:Segamat01.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Segamat01.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.mycen.com.my/duasen/061105_places08.html. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. The article Kajang South Interchange has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable as a separate entity. The pertinent information on this subject should be already covered in the appropriate roadways' junction lists.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Disputed NPOV status of Bukit Kepong Incident
[edit]I think it is you who is mistaken. I removed absolutely no dead links from the article where they are used as references, and in fact have only marked them with {{Dead Link}}. However, as according to the Wikipedia guidelines, I have removed dead links in the "External links" section. The Wikipedia:Template messages guideline states that "Links to dead URLs in a list of external links are of no use to Wikipedia articles. Such dead links should either be updated or removed. Note however, that the matter is different for references". Do not threaten to forward me to sysops because I am just complying by the guidelines. I am going through my changes and reverting some of them back. There is a horrendous lack of citation in that article. - kriskhaira (talk) 14:15, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
I can see from the History page that you have accused me of being a pro-communist terrorist sympathiser. I should report you to sysops just for this. - kriskhaira (talk) 14:19, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
For any further notes, you may wish to respond here: Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#Bukit_Kepong_Incident - kriskhaira (talk) 14:42, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- These edit summaries [1]—calling another editor a terrorist supporter—are completely unacceptable. There's nothing wrong with placing {{Citation needed}} templates after unsourced statements which carry heavy allegations. In fact, he would have been perfectly right to remove the statements. We need verifiability in Wikipedia, which comes before anyone's perception of WP:TRUTH. —Yk Yk Yk talk ~ contrib 16:19, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- Hezery99, in good faith, I suggest you try to use The Wayback Machine to retrieve information from dead links. See Wikipedia:Using_the_Wayback_Machine. I did only what Wikipedia guidelines allowed me to do and I look forward to you adding more cited information to the page. - kriskhaira (talk) 20:04, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Malaysia Federal Route 1 (Sarawak), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Betong, Serian and Samarahan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Orphaned non-free image File:Cubprix.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Cubprix.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 03:49, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Smart-tunnel.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Smart-tunnel.jpg, which you've attributed to Berita Harian. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 08:46, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

Notification of automated file description generation
[edit]Your upload of File:B35-signboard.JPG or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

Copy-and-paste improvements
[edit]I noticed you paste the same text “* I/C - interchange, I/S - intersection, …” into many articles. Could you wrap this line into a template? The file File:Segamat map1.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Orphaned map.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Rob13Talk 15:11, 3 March 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:B35-signboard.JPG
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:B35-signboard.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. angys (Talk Talk) 03:20, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
