Sales

[edit]

Can anyone confirm these sales numbers? Underneath-it-All 18:29, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

-->The album sold 164,000 copies in the United States (almost one million copies less than its predecessor, Fever) and 10,000 copies in Canada.

Whoever keeps changing the sales criteria - putting in imaginary album sales and peaks - STOP IT. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Perennialsiren (talkcontribs) 21:26, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since Allmusic have changed the syntax of their URLs, 2 link(s) used in the article do not work anymore and can't be migrated automatically. Please use the search option on http://www.allmusic.com to find the new location of the linked Allmusic article(s) and fix the link(s) accordingly, prefereably by using the {{Allmusic}} template. If a new location cannot be found, the link(s) should be removed. This applies to the following external links:

Secret official single

[edit]

Secret (Take You Home) is an official single from the album. Look at promo single. Songs released to the public in CD format are considered official singles, while promos are for DJs and radio stations. --ĈÞЯİŒ 1ооо 00:02, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bardot

[edit]

I find it curious that this album's (and the lead single's) styling is clearly inspired by Brigitte Bardot, yet there is no mention of it in the article. --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 04:07, 4 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Very high quality article; it is well-written (1), verifiable with no original research (2), covers all areas (3), is neutral (4), stable (5) and illustrated appropriately (6). The article is of the same standard as an equivalent GA such as the Kylie Minogue album Fever on which the author also worked.

A few points:

  • Possibly major issue: Currently receiving a 404 error for citation 15, the entry for the album on Parlophone. It seems that the Music section of that website is no longer available, so a replacement or new link will need to be found.
I have replaced the link. Actually all links to Kylie's site were dead since it got rebooted, so I went ahead and replaced all. I also replaced dead links to PROMUSICAE sites --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:55, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • The lede says that the album "explores genres like synthpop, electroclash, R&B, and hip hop." but doesn't list any of these under genre in the infobox.
Actually the genre entry in the infobox is to list the primary genre, which in this case is dance-pop. The rest are simply influences and elements. --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:55, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Musical styles and lyrical content": "musical works from the 1980s", why can't it be just "music"?
  • Song sample for "Slow" should probably note that it is a 21-second sample
  • "Legacy": "Further in his review", think this should be "Later" or "Reflecting on" etc., as currently it doesn't capture the sense he's talking later in time.

Apart from the first point, which if no replacement is found will lead to several uncited statements, I think this is a great article on an album, so well done! MasterOfHisOwnDomain (talk) 17:19, 26 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@MasterOfHisOwnDomain: I have addressed all of the issues. Thanks for conducting the swift review and for the compliments! :) --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 14:55, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, looking great. I therefore pass the article. Well done! MasterOfHisOwnDomain (talk) 18:11, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very very much! --WonderBoy1998 (talk) 18:15, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
