Hi. I noticed that ANSWER has many of the same problems as Workers World Party. I'm in the UK and have no idea whether answer really is controlled by Workers World Party or whether it is a slur. Could you have a look at it? Thanks. Secretlondon 12:47, Jan 16, 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks. Was trying to work out if it was a right-wing slur or not. I can now see that it isn't. Secretlondon 18:18, Jan 16, 2004 (UTC)
Hello SonofRage! I'm writing you becuase two images you uploaded, Image:Eugene Debs.jpg and Image:AntonPannekoek.jpg, do not have any licensing information associated with them. Wikipedia's goal is to remain free content, so all images used in articles must have a free license. If these images were not released under a free license, they need to be removed from Wikipedia. Because of the lack of any license, the images have been listed for possible deletion. Please supply any license information you may have for these images on the image's page, and drop me a note on my talk page. Thanks! Whosyourjudas 21:22, 20 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- Great. I'll update the image pages. Thanks for the timely response (and free licenses!), Whosyourjudas 20:47, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Socialist stubs
[edit]Hiya. I've proposed a socialist/social democratic stub category, and it's currently up for discussion. I'd much appreciate your thoughts on it. The discussion is taking place here. Thanks. aliceinlampyland 13:23, 30 November 2005 (UTC).
Unspecified source for Image:AntonPannekoek.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:AntonPannekoek.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:56, 15 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vaya 16:56, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Oprah Winfrey (2004)2.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Oprah Winfrey (2004)2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 04:50, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Image licensing
[edit]Hey there...
I am going through a number of images that have some minor licensing issues. I came across Image:David mcreynolds.jpeg which you uploaded. The licensing on this image is not complete as it was uploaded many years ago. I wonder if you could follow the link to the image page and correct the licensing with a GFDL license (or other free license). If you have any questions or issues, please drop me a note on my talk page. Thanks. --Jordan 1972 (talk) 01:33, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
